Here's what the bolt lock tailgate's going to look like installed. As you can see, it's almost a carbon copy of what a factory bezel and handle's going to look like, even down to the finish that we have here on the truck. Very, very closely matches the finish that we have on the bezel. Now the additional benefit that we're going to get out of this versus a standard factory tailgate, is that we've got a lock built in.As you can see, our tailgate, inoperable at this point. more

BOLT Tailgate Handle with Lock Installation - 2009 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today on our 2009 Chevrolet Silverado, we're going to be installing the BOLT tailgate handle with BOLT lock, part number BL5922987. Upgrade your factory tailgate handle to a BOLT-brand locking handle. It allows you to code your vehicle's factory key to it, eliminating the need for extra keys, giving you a one-key system. When used with a tunnel cover, your bed is completely secure. It's a complete replacement that comes with a cover, the handle, the BOLT-lock cylinder, and all the hardware's included to get it installed. The BOLT lock cylinder itself is made out of a cast zinc, and it features a six-plate tumbler sidebar that's going to prevent picking or bumping, and it's corrosion-resistant. The stainless steel lock shutter is going to help keep out moisture, dirt, or debris, and it won't rust. more
